ANSWERS:

  1. To get 786, we need to subtract 79 from 865 because 865 – 786 = 79.
    Also 865 – 79 = 786.
  2. Place value of 6 in 46783 is 6000.
  3. Number of stamps Manu had = 453
Number of stamps Sonu had = 324
    Total number of stamps they had = 453 + 324 = 777 stamps.
  4. 547 rounds off to 550 (nearest ten)
  5. Number of books sold on Monday = 1234
Number of books sold on Tuesday = 2300
Number of books sold on Wednesday = 1564
    Total number of books sold on these three days = 1234 + 2300 + 1564 = 5098 books.
  6. If we divide 30 laddoos equally among 5 children, each child will get 6 laddoos.
  7. Greatest 3 digit number = 999
    Smallest 4 digit number = 1000
    Sum = 1000 + 999 = 1999
  8. Cost of one pen = 7 rupees
    Cost of 10 such pens = 10 x 7 = 70 rupees
  9. Total weight of onions and potatoes = 10 kg
    Weight of onions = 6 kg 250 g
    Weight of potatoes = 10 kg – 6 kg 250g = 3 kg 750g.
  10. 500 – 239 = 261.
