  6. Number of oranges in a basket = 100
    Number of Oranges that are ripped = ¼ of 100 = 100/4 = 25 Oranges
  7. Number of students in a class = 38
    Number of boys = ½ of 38 = 19
  8. Number of birds in a tree = 12
    1/3 of 12 = 12/3 = 4 birds
    Number of birds remaining in the tree = 12 – 4 = 8 birds
  9. Number of balls = 48
    Number of blue balls = ¼ of 48 = 48/4 = 12 balls
  10. Cost of 1 kg potatoes = 48
    Cost of 1 kg tomatoes = 40
    Cost of ¾ kg potatoes = ¾ x 48 = 36 rupees
    Cost of ½ kg tomatoes = ½ of 40 = 20
    Total cost of ¾ kg potatoes and ½ kg tomatoes = 36 + 20 = 56 rupees
