- 1500 metre = ——–km
- 3000 metre = ——–km
- 1 metre = ——- cm
Answer the following: - If the track of a stadium is 400 metres. Then how much kilometre will be there in 10 rounds of a stadium track?
- The boundary of the park was about 400 metres long. How many rounds of the park must run to complete 2 km?
- If the length of the sides of a square park is 500m. Find the length of the boundary?
- The sum of 4 sides of a square is 240m. Find the length of each side?
- The length of a red ribbon is 4m and the length of a blue ribbon is 350 cm. Which colour ribbon has more length and by how much?
ANSWERS:
- 1 km
- Half km
- 1.5 km
- 3 km
- 100 cm
- Length of the track = 400m
Length of 10 rounds of stadium track = 400 x 10 = 4000 m = 4km - Length of the boundary = 400m
We know that 2km = 2000 m
Number of rounds needed to complete 2 km = 2000/400 = 5 rounds - Length of the side of a square = 500m
Length of the boundary = 500 x 4 = 2000 m = 2km - The sum of 4 sides of a square = 240m
Length of each side = 240/4 = 60m - The length of a red ribbon = 4m = 400 cm
The length of a blue ribbon = 350cm
So red colour ribbon has more length.
Difference = 400 – 350 = 50 cm
