Integers – Class 7
MODEL QUESTIONS FOR CBSE CLASS 7 MATHEMATICS
Integers – Chapter 1
Fill in the blanks:
- The product of three negative integers is a ———- integer.
- ————– is the multiplicative identity for integers.
- For any integers a, b and c, (a x b) x c = a x (b x c).This property is known as ———
- (-3) x (-2) x (-1) = ——————-
- (-4) x ———- = 24
- (-78) x ——– = 78
- The opposite of 100m above sea level is ————
Answer the following: - Find a) (-6) x 0 x (-78)
b) (-1) x (-234) - Find the product using suitable properties:
a) 45 x (-23) + (-23) x (-35)
b) 4 x (-245) x 25 - Ina class test containing 10 questions, 4 marks are given for every correct answer and (-2) marks are given for every incorrect answer. Mohan attempts all questions but only 7 of his answers are correct. What is his total score?
ANSWERS:
- Negative
- One
- Associativity for Multiplication
- -6
- -6
- -1
- 100m below sea level
- a) 0
b) 234 - a) (-23) [(45) + (-35)] = (-23) x 10 = -230 by distributive property.
b) (-245) x 4 x 25 = (-245) x 100 = -24500 by associative property. - Marks given for correct answer = 4
So, marks given for 7 correct answers = 4 x 7 = 28
Marks given for one incorrect answer = (-2)
So, marks for 3 incorrect answers = 3 x (-2) = -6
Therefore, Mohan’s total score = 28 + (-6) = 22.
