- A skirt bought for Rs 250 and sold at Rs 150. Find the loss per cent?
ANSWERS:
- 1:4
- Discount
- 16
- Sales tax
- Interest
- First find out the 15% of 24000 = 15 x 24000/100 = 3600
New price = Old price + Increase = 24000 + 3600 = 27600 - Sum of the parts = 2 + 3 + 5 = 10
2/10 x 100% = 20%
3/10 x 100% = 30%
5/10 x 100% = 50% - Here we can find out 36% of 25 = 36 x 25/100 = 9 students
- Original price (CP) = Rs 450
Sales tax in rupees = 5% of its CP = 5 x 450/100 = 22.5
Bill amount = CP + Sales tax = 450 + 22.5 = 472.5 - Here CP = 250, SP = 150
Since CP> SP, then there is a loss = 250 -150 = 100 rupees
Loss per cent = Loss x 100/CP = 100 x 100/250 = 40%.
