Answers:

  1. Distance travelled using 5 liters of petrol = 50km
    Distance travelled using 1 liter of petrol = 50/5 = 10km
    Distance travelled using 8 liters of petrol = 10 x 8 = 80km
  2. Cost of 24 cookies = 96 rupees
    Cost of 1 cookies = 96/24 = 4 rupees
    Cost of 10 cookies = 4 x 10 = 40 rupees
  3. Time required to read 20 pages =2 hours
    Time required to read 10 pages = 1 hour
    Time required to read 50 pages = 5 hours
  4. Cost of 4 shirts = 1700 rupees
    Cost of 1 shirt = 1700/4 = 425 rupees
    Cost of 7 shirts = 425 x 7 = 2975 rupees
  5. Distance travelled in 2 hours = 40km
    Distance travelled in 1 hour = 40/2 = 20km
    Distance travelled in 5 hours = 20 x 5 = 100km
