- Ramu had 50 rupees. He bought a notebook for 23.50 rupees. Find the balance amount left with Ramu?

ANSWERS:
- 5.75 rupees

- Money spent for buying chocolates = 25.50 rupees
Money spent for buying biscuits = 20.50 rupees
Total money spent = 25.50 + 20.50 = 46 rupees - Weight of onions = 3 kg 50g = 3.050 kg
Weight of tomatoes = 1kg 250 g = 1.250 kg
Weight of potatoes = 2 kg 100g = 2.100 kg
Total weight = 3.050 + 1.250 + 2.100 = 6.400 kg - Total money Ramu had = 50 rupees
Cost of a notebook = 23.50 rupees
Balance amount = 50 – 23.50 = 26.50 rupees - a) 0.06
