B. 175 rupees
C. 185 rupees
ANSWERS:
- 40, 32
- Circle
- 2
- 80
- 35: 3
- 400
- 40 degree
- 3
- 4.5
- 175 rupees
Explanation:
- Let the numbers be x and y
Given x + y = 72 and x – y = 8
Add these equations, 2x = 80
x = 40
Therefore, y = 72 – 40 = 32 - Circle
- Let the number be x
Given 6x + 5 = 17
6x = 17 – 5 = 12
x = 12/6 = 2 - 5
5 + 13 = 18
18 + 13 = 31
31 + 18 = 49
49 + 31 = 80 - When father was 35 years age, his son’s age will be 3 years
So the ratio is 35: 3 - 12% of x = 48
12x/100 = 48
12x = 4800
x = 4800/12 = 400 - Given ratio is 2: 3: 4
Sum of the parts = 2 + 3 + 4 = 9
Measure of each angles are (2/9) x 180 = 40 degree
(3/9) x 180 = 60 degree
(4/9) x 180 = 80 degree
So smallest measure of angle is 40 degree - Given 4x = 2x + 6
4x – 2x = 6
2x = 6
x = 6/2 = 3 - 4.5
- Cost of 15 pens = 105 rupees
Cost of 1 pen = 105/15 = 7 rupees
Cost of 25 pens = 7 x 25 = 175 rupees
