ANSWERS:

  1. Area = 3600 sq.cm
    Side x Side = 3600
    60 x 60 = 3600
    Length of each side = 60cm
  2. Length = 24cm
    Breadth = ¼ of 24 = 6cm
    Area = l x b = 24 x 6 = 144 sq.cm
    Perimeter = 2 x (l + b) = 2 x (24 + 6) = 2 x 30 = 60cm
  3. Length = 35cm
    Breadth = 15cm
    Area = l x b = 35 x 15 = 525 sq.cm
    Perimeter = 2 x (l + b) = 2 x (35 + 15) = 2 x 50 = 100 cm
  4. Side = 9cm
    Area = side x side = 9 x 9 = 81 sq.cm
    Perimeter = 4 x side = 4 x 9 = 36 cm
  5. Area of a rectangle = 48 sq.m
    Breadth = 8cm
    Length = 48 divided by 8 = 6cm
  6. Area = 121 sq.cm
    Side x side = 121 sq.cm
    11 x 11 = 121 sq.cm
    Length of each side = 11 cm
  7. Perimeter of an equilateral triangle = 3 x side = 3 x 7 = 21cm
  8. Perimeter = 5 + 5 + 8 = 18cm
  9. Perimeter of a regular hexagon = 72cm
    Length of each side = 72 divided by 6 = 12 cm
  10. Perimeter of a regular pentagon = 5 x side = 5 x 7 = 35 cm
  11. Length = 8m
    Breadth = 5m
    Perimeter = 2 x (l + b) = 2 x (8+5) = 2 x 13 = 26m
    Cost of fencing = 26 x 85 = 2210 rupees
  12. Perimeter = 4 x side = 4 x 250 = 1000 m
    Cost of fencing = 24 x 1000 = 24000 rupees
  13. Length = 4m 25cm = 4.25m
    Breadth = 2m 75cm = 2.75m
    Area = l x b = 4.25 x 2.75 = 11.6875 sq.m
  14. Perimeter = 40cm
    Length of third side = 40 – (14 + 12) = 40 – 26 = 14 cm
  15. Perimeter = 6 + 7 + 3 + 2 = 18cm
