CBSE CLASS 7 MATHEMATICS WORKSHEETS /Part 1/ Yearly Examination.
Fill in the blanks:
- The ratio of 5 kg to 500 g is —————–
- Height and base of a triangle is 4 cm and 3 cm. Then its area will be ————3. 0.01 x 0.1 = ————-
- The value of pi is ————–
- The coefficient of x in -3x + y is ———————–
Answer the following: - Simplify 45.87 + 23.54 – 12.45
- One of the sides and the corresponding height of a parallelogram are 8 cm and 2 cm respectively. Find the area of the parallelogram?
- Rani purchased a water bottle for 1000 rupees and sold it for 950 rupees. Find her loss or gain percentage?
- If x = 5, find the value of 5x – 5?
- Is it possible form a triangle having sides 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm? Verify your answer.
- 35000 rupees is invested at 8% interest rate per annum. Find the interest at the end of 3 years?
- Convert to per cents:
a) 0.25
b) 0.02 - What should be added to 2x + 4y to get 4x + 7y?
- Simplify and find the value of, if x = 2, y = 3
2(x + 3y) + x -4y - Find the area of a square park whose perimeter is 320 m
ANSWERS:
- 10:1
- 6 square cm
- 0.001
- 3.14 or 22/7
- -3
- 45.87 + 23.54 = 69.41
69.41 – 12.45 = 56.96 - Base = 8 cm, Height = 2 cm
Area = b x h = 8 x 2 = 16 square cm - CP = 1000 rupees
SP = 950 rupees
CP – SP = 1000 – 950 = 50 rupees
Since CP > SP, there is a loss of 50 rupees
Loss % = Loss x 100 /CP = (50 x 100) /1000 = 5000/1000 = 5% - 5x – 5 = 5 x 5 – 5 = 25 – 5 = 20
- The three sides given are 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm
Now 3 + 4 = 7 > 5
4 + 5 = 9 >3
3 + 5 = 8 > 4
Therefore, sum of two sides is greater than the third side. So such a triangle is possible. - Interest = PRT/100
= 35000 x 8 x 3 /100
= 8400 rupees - 0.25 = 0.25 x 100 % = (25/100) x 100% = 25%
0.02 = 0.02 x 100% = (2/100) x 100% = 2% - 4x + 7y – (2x +4y) = 4x + 7y – 2x – 4y = 2x + 3y
- 2(x + 3y) + x – 4y = 2x + 6y + x – 4y = 3x + 2y
When x = 2, y = 3, 3x + 2y = 3 x 2 + 2 x 3 = 6 + 6 = 12 - Perimeter = 320 m
Length of each side = 320/4 = 80 m
Area of a square = side x side = 80 x 80 = 6400 square metre.
