ANSWERS:
- Number of boys = 15
Total number of students = 30
Required ratio = 15: 30 = 1:2 (Divide by the common factor 15) - 1 rupee = 100 paise
2 rupees = 200 paise
Required ratio = 50: 200 = 1:4 (Divide by the common factor 50) - 1kg = 1000 g
Required ratio = 250: 1000 = 1:4 (Divide by the common factor 250) - 1 hour = 60 minutes
2 hours = 120 minutes
Required ratio = 40:120 = 1:3 (Divide by the common factor 40) - 2 weeks = 14 days
Required ratio = 14:4 = 7:2 (Divide by the common factor 2) - Total number of persons = 48
Number of men = 36
Number of women = 12
Required ratio = 36:12 = 3:1 (Divide by the common factor 12) - The given ratio = 4:6 = 2:3 (Divide by the common factor 2)
4:6 = 8:12 (Multiply both numerator and denominator by 2) - 16:24 = 2:3 (Divide by the common factor 8)
10:15 = 2:3 (Divide by the common factor 5) - Price of 5m of cloth = 495 rupees
Price of 1m of cloth = 99 rupees
Price of 12m of cloth = 99 x 12 = 1188 rupees - Cost of 8kg wheat = 320 rupees
Cost of 1 kg wheat = 320/8 = 40 rupees
Cost of 20kg of wheat = 20 x 40 = 800 rupees
Your conclusion really made me think. Thanks for a great read!
