6. (237 + 343) + (102 + 548) = 580 + 650 = 1230

7. a) 5432 x (2 x 50) = 5432 x 100 = 543200 (by associative property)
b) 765 x (125 x8) = 765 x 1000 = 765000

8. a) 654 x(47 + 53) (by distributivity of multiplication over addition)
= 654 x 100 = 65400
b) 7896 x (146 -46) (by distributivity of multiplication over subtraction)
= 7896 x 100 = 789600

9. a) 654 x (100 + 2) = 654 x 100 + 654 x 2 = 65400 + 1308 = 66708
b) 124 x (1000+ 5) = 124 x 1000 + 124 x 5 = 124000 + 620 = 124620

10. Money spent for lunch = Rs 50

Money spent for breakfast = Rs 24
Money spent in one day = 50 + 24 = Rs 74
Money spent in 5 days = 74 x 5 = Rs 370
