ANSWERS:
- 20
- 100
- ¾
- 25 cm
- 1000 ml
- Number of oranges in a basket = 100
Number of Oranges that are ripped = ¼ of 100 = 100/4 = 25 Oranges - Number of students in a class = 38
Number of boys = ½ of 38 = 19 - Number of birds in a tree = 12
1/3 of 12 = 12/3 = 4 birds
Number of birds remaining in the tree = 12 – 4 = 8 birds - Number of balls = 48
Number of blue balls = ¼ of 48 = 48/4 = 12 balls - Cost of 1 kg potatoes = 48
Cost of 1 kg tomatoes = 40
Cost of ¾ kg potatoes = ¾ x 48 = 36 rupees
Cost of ½ kg tomatoes = ½ of 40 = 20
Total cost of ¾ kg potatoes and ½ kg tomatoes = 36 + 20 = 56 rupees
