**ANSWERS:**

**20****100****¾****25 cm****1000 ml****Number of oranges in a basket = 100**

Number of Oranges that are ripped = ¼ of 100 = 100/4 = 25 Oranges**Number of students in a class = 38**

Number of boys = ½ of 38 = 19**Number of birds in a tree = 12**

1/3 of 12 = 12/3 = 4 birds

Number of birds remaining in the tree = 12 – 4 = 8 birds**Number of balls = 48**

Number of blue balls = ¼ of 48 = 48/4 = 12 balls**Cost of 1 kg potatoes = 48**

Cost of 1 kg tomatoes = 40

Cost of ¾ kg potatoes = ¾ x 48 = 36 rupees

Cost of ½ kg tomatoes = ½ of 40 = 20

Total cost of ¾ kg potatoes and ½ kg tomatoes = 36 + 20 = 56 rupees
